Position Title: PM Front Desk Attendant
Department: Front Office / Guest Services
Reports To: Front Office Manager or General Manager
Shift: Evening / PM Shift (typically 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, weekends and holidays required)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and guest-focused PM Front Desk Attendant to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests during evening operations, handling check-ins and check-outs, resolving guest concerns, answering phones, and supporting smooth hotel operations during the PM shift.

The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide a positive first impression of the hotel
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
  • Handle reservations, room assignments, and payment processing
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally
  • Address guest concerns, requests, and complaints promptly
  • Maintain accurate guest records and daily reports
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance regarding room status and guest needs
  • Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-shift paperwork
  • Monitor lobby activity and help maintain a clean, professional front desk area
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Assist with audit preparation and shift handoff communication

Qualifications

  • Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management software
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with PMS systems such as Opera, OnQ, ChoiceADVANTAGE, or Cloudbeds
  • Cash handling experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
