Responsibilities
- Regularly provide consultation to pro builders and retail distributors both on the phone and at customer location
- Supervise drafters and/or EWP Customer Service Specialists, where appropriate
- Initiate sales for engineered wood products and accessories i.e., joist hangers, etc. Conduct technical training seminars for applicators and location personnel.
- Conduct dealer/contractor information meetings.
- Procure and manages engineered wood inventory.
- Prepare complex CAD and/or hand drawings for converting conventional floor and roof framing and competitor's engineered wood materials to Boise materials.
- Consistently demonstrate a commitment to Total Quality and the process of continuous improvement
- Identify and respond actively with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and be open and responsive to change.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- College, vocational, or specialized training/certification or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of CAD system, blueprint reading, and drafting.
- Excellent math skills and communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of engineering terms and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the building materials industry preferred.
