This role focuses on accurately picking and preparing orders in a busy warehouse environment. You will operate a motorized pallet jack and clamp truck, use a tablet and RF scanner to locate and select products, and deliver them to the shipping area. Order accuracy and speed are critical, and you will contribute directly to efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Pick and prepare customer orders in the warehouse with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate a motorized pallet jack to transport product safely throughout the facility.
  • Operate clamp trucks, including stand-up and sit-down forklifts, to handle and move product as required.
  • Use tablets, RF scanners, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to locate, select, and confirm products.
  • Deliver picked orders to the shipping area in a timely manner to meet daily productivity goals.
  • Follow all safety procedures while operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Perform picker and packer duties, including order selection, stacking, and staging of product.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas within the industrial warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet order fulfillment and shipping deadlines.
  • Be available for overtime as needed to support business demands.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience operating clamp trucks in a warehouse or industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience with stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
  • Ability to safely operate a motorized pallet jack and electric pallet jack (EPJ).
  • Demonstrated experience as a picker, packer, or order selector in a warehouse setting.
  • Comfort using RF scanners and tablets for order selection and inventory tracking.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong focus on order accuracy and meeting time-to-fill expectations.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday on first shift (approximately 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) with openness to overtime.
  • Capability to work safely and effectively in an industrial, non-climate-controlled environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a large, multi-plant warehouse or manufacturing complex.
  • Experience working with clamp attachments for specialized material handling.
  • Ability to adapt to different forklift types, including stand-up and sit-down models.
  • Comfort working with technology, including tablets, RF scanners, and computer-based WMS.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability in meeting daily productivity and quality targets.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes and grow into larger roles over time.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean industrial warehouse within a large multi-plant complex. The facility is not climate controlled, so temperatures vary with the seasons. You will work primarily Monday through Friday on first shift, around 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the expectation of overtime when needed. Daily work involves operating clamp trucks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, motorized and electric pallet jacks, and using tablets, RF scanners, computers, and a warehouse management system to manage orders and inventory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
