The Company’s immunology portfolio includes biologics to address organ transplant rejection, autoimmunity, and cancer. Tonix’s infectious disease pipeline consists of a vaccine in development to prevent smallpox and monkeypox, which also serves as the live virus vaccine platform or recombinant pox vaccine platform for other infectious diseases. 

Position Overview

Tonix is looking for a full-time Information Technology Specialist at our Chatham New Jersey office. This position will provide system support for all hardware (PCs, printers, servers) and their associated software. The individual in this position would be responsible for the planning, coordinating, modifying, implementing, and troubleshooting of equipment to meet business needs. This position will be supporting both onsite and remote corporate users and will need to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical users.

This is a fast-paced challenging position offering a competitive compensation and benefits package. This position will report directly to the IT Manager and will be based at the Tonix Chatham site in New Jersey.

Essential Duties

  • Helpdesk support (In-office and remote)
    1. Provide tier I+II support. Escalate tickets to supervisor as needed
    2. Support onboarding of new employees
    3. Configure new workstations, printers, and any other hardware needs
    4. Installation of company software
    5. Relocate equipment for employees and laboratories
    6. Support the Audio/Visual technologies in common areas
    7. Manage and inventory IT equipment and software licenses
  • Ticketing System
    1. Work within ticketing system to document IT requests
    2. Track tickets from creation to closure
  • Maintenance and Support for IT equipment
    1. Assist with equipment and software upgrades/patching
    2. Coordinate support calls with 3rd party vendors
    3. Trace and patch ethernet cables
  • Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support Tonix on various business initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Basic skills in the follow areas: PC/laptop hardware, software, telecommunications, and networking
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, AD and basic networking
  • Lifting/moving of equipment up to 50 lbs. is required
  • Ability for minimal travel
  • Dedicated team player who can withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator
  • Demonstrate ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
  • Excellent customer service and soft skills when working with and responding to end user needs and questions
  • Ability to adapt and use problem solving skills to resolve real time issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with latest version of Windows Server and/or Azure Platform
  • Experience with M365 and ConnectWise
  • Knowledge of VMware or other virtual infrastructures

Compensation & Benefits

Annualized base salary ranges from $50,000 to $90,000 plus target incentive; actual salaries will vary and may be above or below this range commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
