Job DescriptionEngineering Technician
Overview
We are seeking Engineering Technicians I–IV to support our planned laboratory expansion. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact and grow your career with a company that is passionate about innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and ISO 17025 standards
- Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Perform scheduled instrument verification and periodic facility maintenance
- Identify, document, and report nonconformities or abnormal test conditions
- Set up test units per lab procedures and test requests
- Create and maintain accurate testing records and documentation
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and lab facilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with EH&S policies
- Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams
- Obtain required certifications (fork truck, scissor lift, refrigerant handling, as applicable)
- Provide guidance and training to other technicians
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a mechanical test lab or field service environment (preferred)
- Fork truck, man lift, Universal refrigerant, or R410A certifications (preferred)
- Mentorship or leadership experience
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.65 - $50.77/hr.
