Job Summary:

Iron Point is seeking a conscientious and detail oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our Property Management Team. The Assistant Property Manager provides support for Property Managers and helps manage the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, including owner and tenant relations, leasing, rent collection, and property maintenance. This role will involve working primarily onsite with some remote work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring properties are well maintained, residents are satisfied, and investors needs are met. This role requires strong organizational, communication, computer and typing, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Work onsite Monday-Friday in a variety of established apartment communities. Occasional Saturdays, as needed, for leasing activities.

  • Conduct property tours with prospective tenants, highlighting key features and amenities.

  • Respond promptly to leads by phone and email.

  • Utilize your excellent communication skills to guide prospects through the application process.

  • Answer and route incoming calls as needed.

  • Utilize various advertising platforms, social media, and networking events to promote available properties.

  • Help coordinate move out repairs and maintenance with various vendors.

  • Respond to and resolve resident questions.

  • Process applications.

  • Rent collection.

Requirements:

  • Excellent typing, computer, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Conscientious with a drive for process improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be a team player and proactive problem solver.

  • Customer-oriented and able to build positive relationships with tenants and prospective tenants.

  • Proficiency in property management software and Google Workspace application.

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • Proven work experience as an Assistant Property Manager or Leasing Agent or similar role in the real estate or property management industry. Sales experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of leasing laws and regulations.

  • High school diploma; additional certification in real estate or property management is a plus.

  • Experience in Appfolio
