Our client is seeking a strong 3-5 year DevOps professional to work hybrid (on site 2-3 weeks per month total) in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50.00 to $60.00/hr. w2


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with web and API teams to leverage DevOps and automation for robust and scalable applications.
  • Develop and support resolve complex CI/CD, release, processes, and environment issues across multi-component systems.
  • Create clear documentation for flows, architectural diagrams, and processes.
  • Enhance and maintain release procedures and coordinate activities across release management, project management, QA, and development.
  • Support a cloud-first approach by upskilling teams on cloud technologies.


Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years in software engineering, configuration management, and release engineering for large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes with hands-on experience using tools such as Jenkins and Jenkins Core.
  • Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Git, GitHub, 12-factor methodology, containerization, and cloud technologies or adjacent technologies such as SonarQube, and artifact repositories such as Artifactory.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, in either Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with build tools and package managers such as Maven, Gradle, and NPM.
  • Developer-oriented mindset with automation skills using Java, Groovy, Shell, or Python and an ability to work with Python or Java to support database efforts, as well as security efforts
  • Ability to optimize the development flow utilizing cloud SDK/CLI including testing stages, coverage reports, quality gates, security scans, and environment promotions.
  • Strong knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
  • Understanding of modern development practices including trunk-based development, feature toggles, and branch by abstraction.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and recommend tools and solutions to improve CI/CD and development processes.
  • Ability to trace complex pipeline and release scenarios across multiple components.
  • Experience coordinating releases across multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth rollouts.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Azure or AWS certification (preferred).
