Our organization, a leading healthcare provider and private employer in the tri-state region, is on the lookout for an outstanding physician executive to fill the role of Regional Vice President of Cardiology for our Cardiovascular Institute, as well as Chief of Cardiology for both Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital. This position presents a remarkable chance for a forward-thinking individual dedicated to clinical excellence, academic growth, and strategic program development.

We are in search of a vibrant and accomplished physician leader who has demonstrated progressive leadership experience in an academic or complex healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified cardiologist (in any subspecialty) with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:As Regional VP of Cardiology:

• Play a pivotal role in shaping cardiovascular care across the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut, collaborating closely with the Cardiovascular Institute.
• Drive the standardization of best practices, clinical protocols, and quality metrics.
• Identify and implement innovative care delivery models and technologies.
• Facilitate collaboration and integration throughout the region and system.
• Contribute to system-wide strategic planning for the Cardiovascular Institute, supporting its mission and growth.
• Act as a key liaison between site-based cardiology and the broader Cardiovascular Institute.

As Chief of Cardiology (Danbury Hospital & New Milford Hospital):

• Provide comprehensive clinical, operational, and strategic oversight for the Division of Cardiology at both hospitals.
• Ensure the highest standards of patient care, quality, and safety in clinical cardiology services.
• Lead recruitment, mentorship, and professional development for a high-performing team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers.
• Engage in strategic planning for program growth, technology adoption, and service expansion.
• Promote a collaborative and collegial environment within the department and across other medical specialties.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Support the academic mission, including training, research, and innovation.

Clinical Role:

Approximately 50% of the role will be dedicated to clinical cardiology, aligned with the individual’s training and expertise.
