Release Manager (Seattle, Glendale, New York, or Bristol - Hybrid)
Optomi, in partnership with a large organization, is seeking an experienced Release Manager for a long-term contract opportunity. This role requires a confident, highly organized individual who can own and coordinate production releases across multiple platforms while serving as the central source of truth for stakeholders. As part of a centralized Release Management team, this position focuses on facilitating, adapting, and enforcing release processes across web, mobile, and TV platforms. Experience of the right candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in Release Management or a related role (QA Manager, Release Engineer, Project/Program Manager, Delivery Manager, or similar).
- Hands-on experience deploying releases into production and owning the full release lifecycle.
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment practices.
- Proven experience using Jira and Confluence for release tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Executive-level communication experience, including dashboards and status reporting.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage risk in high-impact environments.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and push back when necessary to protect release integrity.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort facilitating frequent cross-functional meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end release cycles across multiple platforms with a bi-weekly cadence.
- Adapt existing release processes to fit different platform needs, including web, mobile, and TV applications.
- Develop and maintain detailed release plans, schedules, documentation, and communication artifacts.
- Serve as the central point of coordination and source of truth for release status, risks, and dependencies.
- Partner closely with engineering, product, QA, and program teams to identify and mitigate release risks.
- Provide clear, concise executive updates through dashboards and written reports.
- Facilitate release-related meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement through metrics, retrospectives, and process refinement.
- Demonstrate a self-directed, proactive approach with minimal need for oversight.
