Job Details



Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including personal injury and maritime cases.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and responses, motions, and briefs.
3. Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and participate in court hearings and trials.
4. Provide legal advice to clients and work towards achieving the best possible outcome for them.
5. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
7. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure effective case management.
8. Maintain compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
9. Stay updated on current legislation and recent case law that is relevant to the firm's practice areas.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, with a particular focus on personal injury and maritime law.
4. Proven experience in conducting and defending depositions.
5. Solid courtroom experience, with federal courtroom experience being a significant plus.
6. Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with excellent attention to detail.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
