Pioneer Energy is seeking an entry-level Engineering Technician to join our production team in Lakewood, CO. This is a hands-on role supporting the build and assembly of innovative surface production equipment used in the oilfield.

Pioneer Energy develops and manufactures proprietary equipment that solves gas processing challenges in the oilfield by developing and deploying new, ground-up technology.

The production team is a small, highly skilled, multi-trade team in welding, electrical, and HVAC. If you have basic electrical knowledge, enjoy working with your hands, and are eager to grow your skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you. HVAC experience or interest is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic electrical wiring and cable routing under technician supervision
  • Support assembly and testing of skids, panels, and mechanical systems
  • Help HVAC technicians and electricians during installation and setup
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Load and unload materials, help organize work areas, and maintain shop cleanliness
  • Work closely with experienced team members to learn industry skills and best practices

Qualifications

  • Interest in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC work
  • Basic understanding of tools and safety practices in a shop environment
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work well with a team
  • EPA refrigeration certification a plus but not required
  • Previous experience in a shop or construction setting

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures depending on the season
  • Good coordination
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
