Now Hiring: Main Shop Automotive Technician – Bob Bell Chevrolet, Bel Air, MD

Bob Bell Chevrolet in Bel Air is seeking a Main Shop Technician with strong skills in transmission repair and electric vehicles (EVs). What You’ll Do:
- Perform quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
- Specialize in transmission and EV system repairs (preferred)
- Accurately complete repair orders with efficiency and attention to detail
- Test components and systems using advanced diagnostic tools
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional work needed and time estimates
- Execute manufacturer warranty repairs to specification
- Test-drive vehicles before and after service as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of technician experience required
- Transmission and/or EV experience preferred
- Maryland State Inspection License a plus
- GM-certified technicians encouraged to apply
- Solid skills in diagnostics, engine, electrical, and mechanical repair (B-level or higher)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to learn new technology and operate electronic diagnostic tools
