Are you passionate about STEM education, health, and inspiring young minds? Little Medical School® brings medicine, science, and healthcare concepts to life for kids in a fun, hands-on, and interactive way!
We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and dependable Instructors to teach our STEM-certified curriculum to Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school students. As an instructor, you will manage classroom spaces, deliver engaging hands-on lessons, and spark interest in healthcare careers while ensuring a safe, supportive environment.
Because our STEM programs run throughout the school day—including morning sessions, in-school workshops, and after-school enrichment programs—we offer flexible scheduling options to fit various availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Engaging Classroom Delivery: Lead fun, hands-on health and science activities using official Little Medical School® lesson plans and materials.
- Classroom Management & Safety: Supervise students, maintain a welcoming and youth-friendly environment, and ensure the physical well-being and safety of all children.
- Positive Mentorship: Interact with students in an encouraging way that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a passion for science and medicine.
- Supply & Resource Care: Pick up and return program supplies to the LMS coordinator, ensuring classroom spaces and teaching tools are kept clean, organized, and disinfected.
- Program Collaboration: Coordinate with site contacts, school coordinators, and LMS leadership to provide updates, feedback, and seamless delivery of daily activities.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for STEM & Teaching: Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth sports/activities) is preferred.
- Strong Communication: Ability to engage young audiences, manage classroom dynamics, and build positive relationships with schools and parents.
- Reliability & Professionalism: Punctual, proactive, and committed to high safety and quality standards.
- Transportation Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to pick up kit materials and travel to local school/facility sites.
- Background Check & Fingerprinting: Ability to pass standard state and school district background clearances for working with minors.
