Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries, and provide information about products and services.
- Sales Support: Promote special offers and loyalty programs to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory levels by restocking shelves and reporting low stock items.
- Receipt Management: Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that it is presentable at all times.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail or customer service is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong numerical and cash handling skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customer loyalty programs or promotions.
