Engineering Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $113,000 - $162,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality and efficiency.
Provide expert technical guidance and problem-solving support for complex production challenges and equipment issues.
Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D departments to ensure seamless product development, launch, and operational excellence.
Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with overall manufacturing goals and business objectives.
Manage departmental budget, resources, and capital expenditure for engineering projects and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

Extensive technical background in manufacturing engineering, including process optimization, equipment design, and automation within a production environment.
Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams, with a focus on project delivery and performance management.
Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and their application to drive efficiency and quality in manufacturing.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and operational challenges, contributing to strategic technical roadmaps and innovation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
