Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine operation, and blueprint reading will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers, ensuring optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for precision machining.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, including Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and handling materials properly.
- Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, fabrication processes, and quality control measures to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or stamping presses within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM programming tools; familiarity with Fanuc controls is highly desirable.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, shop math, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and other measurement instruments.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of industrial equipment troubleshooting and factory machinery maintenance.
- Experience with shop math, materials handling, tooling setup, and fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper use of hand tools and industrial equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills; ability to interpret complex technical documents effectively.
- Prior experience working with manufacturing documentation such as production reports, inspection logs, and quality control records is preferred.
