Contract Paralegal (1-Year) – Onsite

A respected Federal Agency in Washington, DC is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Paralegal for a 1-year onsite assignment supporting high-impact litigation work alongside DOJ attorneys. What You’ll Do
In this role, you will play a critical part in managing electronic case workflows and supporting attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle:
- Download electronic case filings (ECFs) from PACER
- Upload filings into automated matter management systems
- Enter and maintain accurate data in case tracking systems
- Create and distribute ECF links to DOJ attorneys
- Respond to attorney requests for filing information and document retrieval
- Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for discovery, motions, briefs, and legal documents
- Conduct simple to moderately complex database searches
- Perform basic legal research
- Index, track, and manage document discovery, depositions, and trial materials
- Prepare exhibit cross-references
- Assist attorneys in courtroom proceedings
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate, JD, or current enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school (completion of at least one year required)

- Substitution: One (1) year of legal training/experience or two (2) years of college may substitute for a paralegal certificate
- Minimum one (1) year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience supporting electronic case filing workflows
- Working knowledge of legal citation and ability to cite-check motions and memoranda
- Experience using legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
