Shift Supervisor (Floating)
Shift/Hours: Day Shift - 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, Rotating shifts
Must be flexible to fill in for Night Shift (6:00 pm - 6:00 am) as needed.
Pay Rate: $25.00+ per hour (DOE)
Location: Marietta, GA 30062
Experience: Strong previous experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment is required.

Summary: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and managing team performance to meet manufacturing goals. As a "Floating" supervisor, you will primarily work day shifts but must maintain the flexibility to cover night shifts to ensure seamless leadership across the 24-hour operation.
Shift Supervisor Job Duties:
- Lead and manage production teams to ensure all safety, quality, and production targets are met.
- Coordinate daily workflow and adjust staffing assignments based on production demands.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Train, coach, and mentor staff on machine operation and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete shift reports, attendance tracking, and production documentation.
- Facilitate effective communication between outgoing and incoming shifts.
Shift Supervisor Skills:
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes - metal industry experience is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in reading production schedules, work orders, and technical manuals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication for reporting to upper management.
- Ability to think critically and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Supervisor Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing setting is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications preferred.
- Full flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and transition between days and nights as required.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and navigate a heavy manufacturing floor.
- Able to provide 2 professional references from previous management roles.
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
