Seeking an experienced school psychologist ready for an exciting contract position supporting students and staff near Burnsville, MN. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in educational environments and are passionate about making a meaningful impact during a vital leave coverage period.
From August 31, 2026, to November 26, 2026, you'll contribute your expertise to help maintain continuity of care and guidance during a colleague’s leave. The position offers 37.5 hours per week, providing ample time to engage with students, collaborate with educators, and be an essential resource within the school community.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current state licensure as a school psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field (EdS, PsyS, or equivalent)
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychological and educational assessments
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Demonstrated skill in conducting individual and group counseling
- Ability to work independently while being an active team contributor
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative psychological services in accordance with students’ IEPs and 504 plans
- Administer psychoeducational assessments for eligibility determinations and ongoing student support
- Participate in multidisciplinary and IEP team meetings
- Offer crisis intervention and mental health counseling as needed
- Support staff by developing and implementing behavior management strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting on student progress
