- Pay: $30.11+ per hour (Based on education and experience)
- Relocation: Up to $5,000
Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic medical radiographic procedures for patients ranging from neonates to geriatric populations. The technologist operates radiographic equipment, produces high-quality diagnostic images, ensures patient safety and comfort, and provides excellent customer service.
This position primarily works day shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage and possible on-call responsibilities.
-> Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures across multiple patient populations.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively in the Radiology Department, Emergency Department, Operating Room, and bedside settings.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate positioning and preparation.
- Obtain high-quality images of specified anatomy using appropriate techniques and exposure factors.
- Follow established radiation safety practices and guidelines.
- Assist Radiologists as needed during procedures.
- Accurately document and enter information using various computer systems and applications.
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while providing excellent customer service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor or Director of Radiology.
-> Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered or registry-eligible Radiologic Technologist.
- Current Kansas Radiologic Technology license required.
-> Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT certification or graduate eligible for the ARRT examination.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
BLS/CPR: Certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is preferred. Candidates may also complete the required BLS training within the first 90 days of employment.
