This is an academic-year, 9-month position, with an anticipated start date of late August 2024.

The Department of Psychology at The University of Rhode Island invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology, beginning Fall 2024. Our department has ~850 undergraduates, 60 graduate students, and 28 faculty, with BA and BS degrees, and doctoral tracks in Behavioral Science and an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology program. We seek an individual with expertise involving human participant research in Neuropsychology/Clinical Neuroscience. This position is at the intersection of the neuropsychology, neuroscience, and cognitive psychology fields. Examples of research interests may include but are not limited to applied and basic work in physiological psychology, neurocognition/cognitive psychology, perception, behavioral neuroscience, and aging. Faculty holding this position would be well-suited to instruct relevant undergraduate and graduate courses including but not limited to neuropsychology, physiological psychology, perception, learning, and cognitive psychology.

We welcome specialization in areas that offer opportunities for collaboration within our department, the College of Health Sciences, the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program (INP), and the University. The position will address teaching and research needs that are central to our undergraduate BA and BS, and graduate curriculums, and could include opportunities for instruction within the INP.
