Step onto the production floor and into a role where quality, safety, and teamwork come first. As a Polymer Compounding Production Technician, you’ll help transform raw materials into high-performance compounds by following precise instructions, running equipment, and documenting results—shoulder to shoulder with teammates who care about the craft.
What your day looks like
- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete daily production tasks.
- Verify item and lot numbers, quantities, and other manufacturing data.
- Accurately record production information on required paperwork.
- Keep your work area clean and organized to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor your own safety and look out for your teammates.
- Complete ongoing computer-based training using basic computer skills.
Tools and processes you may work with
- Blending and extrusion operations
- Troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving
- Leadership support within your cell or line
- Proper and safe fork truck operation
Schedule and overtime
- Seven (7) workdays every two weeks: Week 1 (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday); Week 2 (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)
- Twelve (12) hour shifts: Day 6:45am–7:00pm; Night 6:45pm–7:00am
- Built-in overtime includes Sundays and all hours worked over 40 each week
- Voluntary overtime opportunities are available
Physical requirements
- Lift up to 55 lbs
- Stand for extended periods
- Regular climbing, bending, and stretching
