Position Summary:
The Exercise Physiologist at the Neuropathy Treatment Clinic of Oklahoma plays a key role in improving patient function, mobility, and overall quality of life through customized therapeutic exercise programs. This individual works closely with providers, nurses, and support staff to guide patients through structured, condition-specific routines that support neuropathy recovery, promote circulation, reduce pain, and restore physical capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional movement assessments and mobility evaluations for new and existing patients.
- Develop and implement individualized exercise plans to support patients undergoing neuropathy treatments.
- Supervise and adjust exercise routines based on progress, tolerance, and provider feedback.
- Collaborate with medical providers to align exercise interventions with each patient's treatment plan.
- Document all interventions, progress, and concerns clearly and accurately in the patient's chart.
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe movement practices, posture, and home exercises.
- Support diagnostic testing processes and help interpret how results inform exercise interventions.
- Track and report on patient progress, contributing to overall treatment outcomes and satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and encouraging environment for patients.
- Stay up to date with best practices in therapeutic exercise for neuropathy and chronic pain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field
- Current certification through ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent organization.
- Previous clinical or outpatient experience preferred, ideally in neurology, pain management, or physical medicine settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate patients with varying levels of physical ability.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Schedule & Compensation:
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
