Augusta Commercial Journeyman Electrician
GSA Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician for a premier construction and electrical contractor in the Augusta area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for long-term, stable work on commercial construction and renovation projects.
Position Summary
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on commercial projects while working safely and efficiently in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Install conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical devices
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Install and terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, and lighting systems
- Perform troubleshooting, testing, and repairs of electrical systems
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC and project requirements
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Collaborate with supervisors, foremen, and project teams
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician experience in commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience with conduit bending and installation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on ladders throughout the day
- Ability to work in varying job site conditions
