️ Maintenance Technician – Property Support

Compensation: $18–$21 per hour, based on experience
About the Role
Lumos Real Estate is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support property operations across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience, basic computer literacy, and their own transportation. This role includes physical tasks, tenant interaction, and documentation responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
- Monitor and respond to tenant lockouts; change locks as needed
- Take before-and-after photos of work and submit detailed reports with task lists
- Attend landlord-tenant hearings when required
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of property grounds and common areas
- Use digital tools to track tasks, inventory, and service requests
- Coordinate with property managers and vendors
- Lift and move equipment or materials as needed (must be able to lift moderate weight)
- Ensure basic tools are available and maintained for daily use
Qualifications
- Proven maintenance skills across multiple trades
- Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, maintenance tracking apps)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Must own and maintain basic hand tools
Preferred
- Experience in hospitality, residential, or commercial property maintenance
- Familiarity with cloud-based maintenance platforms or ticketing systems
- Comfort with attending legal or administrative hearings related to tenancy
