Overview
This role is critical to our mission of data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting on our economic development initiatives. The Data & Reporting Analyst will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that inform leadership and business development decisions, support strategic planning, and demonstrate our impact to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Visualization
- Design, develop, andmaintaininteractive dashboards and reports using Tableau to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across businessattraction, investmentpipeline, and sector development initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis to support reporting and decision-making related to business analytics, investment flows, company relocations, and other economic development initiatives.
- Identifyand propose solutions for any data gaps or other inefficiencies in IPR processes to ensure data and reporting accuracy.
- Create compelling data visualizations that communicate complex information clearly to diverseaudiencesincluding executive leadership, government officials, and external stakeholders.
Reporting & Documentation
- Manage multiple reporting workstreams and data sources simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet strict deadlines for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Prepare comprehensive analytical reports for both internal and external use.
- Extract and synthesize reporting data from various sources including CRM systems, internal records, and other third-party databases.
- Ensuringuseof best practices for data collection and cleansing foraccuratereporting purposes.
Process Management
- Coordinate cross-functional reporting requirements across business development, marketing, and operations teams.
- Establish andmaintainreporting calendars, ensuringtimelydata collection and submission.
- Develop standardized reporting templates and protocols to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Manage ad-hoc data requests from leadership and external partners with competing priorities.
Strategic Support
- Contribute to strategic planning processes byprovidinganalytical insights on market trends, competitive positioning, and sector opportunities.
- Assistin the preparation of board presentations, investor briefings, and government reports.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Strategy & Research Officer and/or C-Suite executive in support of Invest Puerto Rico’s mission and mandate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in DataAnalytics, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, ora related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles.
- Advancedproficiencyin Power BI and Tableau withdemonstratedability to create sophisticated dashboards and visualizations.
- Strongexpertisein Excel including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling.
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages for data extraction and manipulation.
- Proventrack recordof managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Bilingualproficiencyin English and Spanish.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience and ability to present technical information to leadership-level audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in economic development, investment promotion, or related public/private sector roles.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (R, Python, SPSS).
- Understanding ofPuerto Rico's business environment, Act 60 incentives, and economic development landscape.
- Experience working with government reporting requirements and transparency standards.
