About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise-wide data architecture. This role will be responsible for shaping the organization's data strategy and delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned data solutions that support analytics, reporting, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure data platforms, enterprise data modeling, governance frameworks, and modern cloud-based data architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Architecture

Define, develop, and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology objectives.
Establish enterprise-wide data models, architectural standards, and integration patterns.
Design scalable and efficient data ecosystems supporting operational, analytical, and reporting needs.
Optimize cloud-based data platforms for performance, scalability, governance, and cost efficiency.
Drive adoption of modern data architecture practices, including metadata management, semantic models, and AI-ready frameworks.

Data Governance & Standards

Establish and enforce enterprise data architecture standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Application Development teams to ensure architectural compliance.
Support data governance initiatives focused on data quality, lineage, stewardship, and metadata management.
Serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise data architecture decisions and design reviews.

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance for enterprise data initiatives.
Participate in solution design, discovery, and project planning activities.
Identify and eliminate redundant data assets, integrations, and pipelines.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and long-term data strategy.

AI, Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics

Design data architectures that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven business solutions.
Define scalable frameworks for predictive analytics, feature engineering, model training, and deployment.
Build trusted and governed data foundations supporting AI, Copilot, and Generative AI initiatives.

Data Products & Self-Service Analytics

Establish standards and best practices for reusable enterprise data products.
Ensure data assets are discoverable, documented, governed, and trusted.
Support self-service reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

Leadership & Collaboration

Partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to align data strategy with business objectives.
Provide architectural leadership and mentorship across enterprise transformation programs.
Influence strategic decisions related to data management, analytics, AI, and cloud modernization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Enterprise Data Management, or related disciplines.
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architecture solutions.
Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure data technologies, including:
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Synapse Analytics
Microsoft Fabric
OneLake
Modern Data Warehouse and Lakehouse Platforms
Deep understanding of enterprise data modeling methodologies, including dimensional, relational, and normalized models.
Experience designing enterprise integration frameworks and large-scale data ecosystems.
Strong knowledge of data governance, business intelligence, analytics, and AI/ML data requirements.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure, Data Architecture, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture certifications.
Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Utilities, or Energy.
Exposure to modern AI/ML platforms and enterprise data governance frameworks.
Experience supporting cloud transformation and enterprise modernization initiatives.
