American manufacturing will always be a pillar of our brand, and we proudly transform all our suppressors in Millcreek, Utah. Our team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable professionals is looking for a Test Technician to become an integral part of our operations.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Technician to conduct testing and evaluation of next-generation suppressor systems. This role will work collaboratively with Business Unit verticals (Military, Law Enforcement, Commercial, and International) and Research and Development to understand the testing requirements and needs for a given product lifecycle and will support testing of our suppressor technologies from bench to field. The ideal candidate has a solid background in firearms evaluation, instrumentation, and product testing and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct live-fire testing of weapons platforms and new suppressor technologies
- Assist Senior Test Technician in data collection and analysis.
- Provide general research and administrative support to ensure smooth lab operations.
- Maintain, manage, and repair laboratory testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and make sure lab remains fully operational.
- Assist with tracking and inventory of weapons platforms and ammunition.
- Perform range maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in the shooting industry.
- Must have experience with firearms and proper firearm safety.
- Strong technical and instrumentation skills.
- Experience in a laboratory setting with a focus on testing and quality assurance.
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate and maintain technical equipment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with suppressor testing protocols and data collection equipment (e.g., data acquisition systems, pressure/acoustic sensors, high-speed imaging, flash characterization, accuracy/precision metrics)
- Basic knowledge of research principles, study design, and analysis techniques.
- Background and proficiency with firearms and/or suppressor systems (military, competition, recreational shooting), or other related firearms technologies.
- Military experience in an operational career field.
Compensation:
$23 an hour
