Senior Technical Specialist, Platform Support
Winston-Salem, NC & New York, NY (Hybrid)
Fulltime

Salary: $120K - $125K Per Annum (DOE)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
• 3+ years of experience with Cisco networking (routers, switches, firewalls)
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise Linux/UNIX environments (Red Hat, AIX)
• 3+ years of experience with databases and middleware (SQL Server, DB2, IBM MQ, WebSphere)
• Experience supporting distributed, mission-critical transaction processing platforms
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE application servers (WebSphere preferred)
• Working knowledge of VMware and Windows Server environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in payments or financial services technology
• Experience with Open Banking, digital wallets, or emerging payment technologies
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, ITIL)
• Mainframe, file transfer, and Linux shell scripting experience
• Vendor management experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system, network, and application issues
• Lead and coordinate major incident response and escalation
• Support production environments, releases, and infrastructure changes
• Perform root cause analysis and document corrective actions
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks and procedures
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
