Accounts Receivable Specialist – Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $26.00–$30.00 per hour
Location: Temecula, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team in Temecula. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for an organized accounting professional who enjoys working with customers, resolving account discrepancies, and keeping financial records accurate and up to date.
The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on AR experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do:
- Generate customer invoices, process payments, and apply cash accurately
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Communicate with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepancies
- Reconcile customer accounts and research unapplied cash and payment variances
- Verify billing information, purchase orders, pricing, and tax status
- Process credit memos, deductions, customer statements, and account adjustments
- Assist with cash reconciliation, month-end close, and AR reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment issues
- Utilize ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Excel to support daily AR activities
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, billing, collections, or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of AR processes, reconciliations, and collections
- Experience with ERP or accounting software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional, dependable, and customer-focused approach
