Role Description The Engineering CAD Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Springfield, IL. This position focuses on producing precise engineering and architectural drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software in support of project architects and engineers. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed plans, sections, and elevations; updating drawings based on redlines and design changes; and ensuring that all documentation follows firm standards and code requirements. The role involves coordinating with project team members, organizing drawing sets for submission, and maintaining digital file management. The CAD Drafter also assists with revising drawings during construction and supports quality control by checking dimensions, notes, and technical details.\n

• Candidates should possess skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings for accurate representation of project requirements.

• Candidates should possess skills in Drawing and Architectural Drawings to support clear and buildable design documentation.

• Candidates should possess skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), including proficiency with industry-standard CAD software.

\n

• Knowledge of building codes, drafting standards, and basic engineering or architectural principles is beneficial.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment are required.

• An associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, CAD technology, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Prior experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction firm, particularly in building design projects, is an advantage.
