Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our team in Orlando, Florida, on a long-term contract basis. This role involves providing comprehensive legal and administrative support to the Real Estate Counsel and Managing Paralegal. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing legal documents, managing real estate transactions, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and prepare essential closing documents for commercial real estate transactions, including deeds, transfer forms, and bills of sale.
• Develop real estate purchase agreements based on the terms outlined in letters of intent.
• Review and analyze title documents, surveys, and other due diligence materials.
• Create lease-related documents such as amendments, memorandums of lease, estoppel certificates, and subordination agreements.
• Summarize and review lease agreements and purchase contracts for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain detailed checklists to track transaction progress from initiation to closing, ensuring critical dates are monitored.
• Manage post-closing activities, including survey reviews and title policy updates.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, external counsel, brokers, and title companies to facilitate transactions.
• Organize and maintain comprehensive closing files for easy access and reference.
• Support the asset management team by responding to tenant and third-party requests, including drafting correspondence and handling estoppels.• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with a paralegal certificate; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including contracts, leases, and closing agreements.
• Strong understanding of due diligence processes, such as title and survey reviews.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external correspondence.
• Familiarity with post-closing procedures and maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Paralegal Certificate is highly preferred.
