Technomark is looking for an experienced 1st Shift Laser Operator to cut thin film substrates and adhesive layers with tight tolerances. As the Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting-up, operating, troubleshooting, and performing simple maintenance on the Laser Machines.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the laser cutting machines and other machinery used in the production process, setting-up jobs based on customer requirements
- Laser cut materials mostly composed of thin film polyester and polycarbonate, and adhesives.
- Cut products to specifications, often with tight tolerances.
- May need to operate multiple lasers at one time.
- Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Perform simple maintenance on the laser equipment
- Follow all company rules and policies
- Follow all safety rules, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, and quality standards
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Communicate status of jobs with production management
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of experience in laser cutting or XY table equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills
- This position requires some overtime and occasional Saturday work
- Candidate must be a team player, reliable, and possess strong attention to detail
ADDITIONAL SKILLS (PREFERRED)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Some knowledge of tooling and equipment maintenance
- Technical School or College degree is preferred
