Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller or Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations. Reporting directly to senior management, the Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing effective accounting policies, and providing strategic financial guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies through the development and implementation of appropriate procedures.
- Direct financial operations to maintain the organization's fiscal health.
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, vendor management, and payroll for multiple entities.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to support managerial decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to budget planning.
- Collaborate with various departments to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
- Assist with audits and examinations as required.
- Facilitate insurance procurement and maintenance processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of management accounting experience in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Experience in payroll management preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- CPA/CFA/CMA/MBA certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
