Job Title: Civil 3D Autocad Technician
Location: Lisle, IL area
Job Type and Duration: Contract to hire
Pay range: 28-35/HR
Local candidates only- no C2C or sponsorship
Overview / Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate has sharp technical capabilities and the commitment to delivering a quality product. Our client is a Civil Engineering and Surveying company serving local governments, counties, state DOT's and private developers. The candidate must be proficient with Autodesk, AutoCAD Civil 3D and possess experience in Civil infrastructure, by designing projects to prepare construction drawings for our Civil Engineering and Surveying Groups. The candidate will be responsible for CAD plan production, working with an experienced group of Engineers and Technicians. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate with other members of the design team to ensure consistent and quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Civil transportation projects including Roadways, structures, and Civil/Environmental site designs.
• Ability to effectively develop and implement CAD standards and drafting uniformity according to established standards and procedures
• Ability to create detailed Civil drawings, layouts and sketches using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Detail plan sheets for Roadway Design, Commercial and Residential, Design & Drainage projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with existing drawings and make corrections as requested by the Engineer
• Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from general written or verbal specifications from the project team
• Work with project team to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs and make corrections to the drawings as requested by the Senior staff
• Adhere to discipline-specific CAD standards
