Role Purpose

To deliver timeous and accurate day to day accounting, invoicing, handling of debtors, payroll administration and reporting of monthly management accounts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all transactions are recorded in line with Group accounting policy and adopted financial reporting standards.
  • Compilation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintenance of all financial lease data and provision of support to the Finance Manager on financial projects.
  • Fixed asset registers maintenance, sundry debtors, bank & cash, loans, etc.
  • Floats/Petty Cash reconciliations & follow-up on related queries.
  • Compiling of monthly payroll schedules, reconciliations, and payments
  • Preparation of monthly Management Reports (Balance Sheets & Income Statements) and related schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for directors and shareholders' meetings.
  • Ensure quality control & integrity of all financial transactions, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Assisting with financial year-end audits for UK and SA entities.
  • Investigating and implementing where technology/AI can assist the finance department as well as broader business to enhance operations and processes.

Requirements

  • Must have a University Degree in Accounting.
  • 2 – 3 years relevant experience.
  • Completely proficient in English.
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • High Computer Literacy with an aptitude toward a technology driven future and using technology where possible.
  • Advanced Excel Skills (non-negotiable).
  • Xero and SimplePay knowledge and experience will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience with UK Accounting, Tax, VAT and Payroll will be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent reconciliation skills & financial applicable technical knowledge.
  • Keen eye for attention to detail.
  • Highly accurate.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
