Job DescriptionParallel Technologies is hiring a Data Center Operator to join our service team in a dedicated onsite role supporting one of our premier enterprise clients. In this role, you will be on the front lines of keeping mission-critical infrastructure running at peak performance, monitoring and managing server hardware, network infrastructure, and storage systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.This is a hands-on, high-impact position requiring strong technical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and the composure to perform under pressure. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, conducting routine system checks, maintaining environmental controls, and upholding data security standards that meet the demands of one of the world's leading medical technology companies. Compensation: $28.00-32.00/hour (depending on qualifications) paid weekly Primary Responsibilities:
- Authorize physical entry of techs based on approved tickets.
- Provide physical escort for non-badge technicians at the Data Center
- Raised floor entry monitoring via camera.
- Manage Access for Data Centers
- Create changes for planned power outages for all Data Centers
- Receive/ Ship packages.
- Manage new/ used hardware Inventory.
- Assist with internal/ external audits.
- Obtain & manage COD documentation.
- Data Center health check w.r.t alarm lights/ audible sounds and report immediately
- Periodic report generation on power/ cooling/ alarm status across Data Centers
- Create or maintain documentation for Data Center related processes and standards.
- Project/ Site Coordination – Track and communicate progress to key stakeholders, Aid in task intake and prioritization of workloads, Manage various milestones and external dependencies to ensure task completion
- Maintain order and cleanliness of Data Center support areas.
- MS Teams chat and Email support
- Participate in weekly/ monthly meetings.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
- General knowledge in server and network hardware management
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in data center operations, IT support, or a related field
- Reliability and the ability to commute to Woodbury, MN is essential
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass background, aptitude, & 5 panel drug test
Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods while monitoring systems and equipment. The role requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, keyboards, and other technical equipment.The employee may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in confined spaces while installing, inspecting, or servicing equipment within server racks or related infrastructure. The role may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Work is performed in both an office environment and within a data center environment, which may include exposure to moderate equipment noise, raised flooring, and temperature-controlled spaces. The position may require the use of ladders or step stools to access equipment.This is a full-time position with a standard workweek of 40 hours. Additional hours, on-call availability, or shift work may be required to support operational needs or respond to system issues.
