We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to join our brand overseeing one of our Qdoba locations in Paducah, Kentucky. This role is responsible for all aspects of restaurant management including operations, staff supervision, customer service, food quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, proven leadership skills, and extensive food service management experience to drive the restaurant’s success and foster a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily restaurant operations, managing a team of 10-30 employees and ensuring smooth shift transitions
- Develop and manage staff schedules, interview and onboard new team members, and conduct ongoing training
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality in compliance with health regulations
- Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams to enhance performance and customer satisfaction
- Oversee inventory control, minimize waste, and optimize stock levels using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros
- Handle cash management duties including register balancing and preparing financial reports
- Address customer feedback promptly to ensure an exceptional dining experience
- Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for revenue growth
- Coordinate catering or banquet services when applicable
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality excellence, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Proven management experience in food service, preferably quick service or casual dining
- Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Experience supervising teams, conducting staff training, and interviewing candidates
- Familiar with POS systems such as Aloha and Micros for order processing and sales tracking
- Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, cash handling, and food production
- Ability to lead with energy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of food service management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Formal food safety compliance training
- Strong team leadership, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with staff training and development programs
