Job Description
We are seeking a Tech Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development, enterprise application delivery, and data warehouse planning and development and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects of $1M+ scope on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple technical projects using defined project management methodology.
- Develop project charters and prescribed planning documents, and secure sponsor approvals.
- Create communication management plans and define team roles and responsibilities.
- Build work breakdown structures, schedules, and deployment plans.
- Lead project meetings and maintain updated project documentation and plans.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and obtain approval for scope changes.
- Secure and coordinate required skill sets and manage expectations with resource managers.
- Provide performance feedback to team members and resource managers in a matrixed environment.
- Maintain issue logs, facilitate issue resolution, and execute communication plans.
- Report project status regularly and manage ROI throughout the lifecycle.
- Track and manage scope, schedule, budget, and time against plan.
- Develop testing strategies and lead project close-out activities.
- Prepare and participate in quality review checkpoints and archive required approvals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience across information systems, application development, enterprise platforms, or data warehousing, including 2+ years in a lead role.
- Proficiency with project management, documentation, and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective teams, manage resources in a matrix, and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Experience in negotiation, problem solving, conflict resolution, and executive-level communication.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification.
- Experience with portfolio management applications and Rational tools.
- Background managing projects of $1M+ scale or comparable complexity.
