Assembly Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate - $30 - $36/hr.
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Assembly Maintenance Technicians to join our team in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role offers the opportunity to build foundational maintenance skills and progress under the guidance of Senior Maintenance Technicians. You will work with predominantly 20+ year-old dial-type and chain-driven MK platform machines and actively participate in the facility's TPM/DTM culture.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventive maintenance routes under Senior Technician guidance, including routine inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and component replacements.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, assisting with diagnosis, disassembly, and reassembly.
- Participate in the Apprenticeship Program, completing 8,000 hours of structured on-the-job training across various work process categories.
- Support TPM/DTM activities by assisting operators with cleaning as inspection, basic condition restoration, and abnormality identification.
- Assist with spare parts inventory, including receiving, stocking, and issuing parts from maintenance cribs.
- Develop proficiency in CMMS platforms, accurately completing work orders and supporting data accuracy for maintenance KPIs.
- Maintain exemplary safety practices and complete all required safety training.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude in bearings, seals, chain drives, belt drives, and conveyor systems.
- Basic electrical safety knowledge and skills with multimeter use, sensor/switch replacement, and motor identification.
- Understanding of pneumatic systems, including air preparation units and solenoid valves.
- Proficiency in lubrication systems and contamination prevention.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, tachometers, and pressure gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through prior work experience, training, or assessment.
- Willingness to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to completing the 8,000-hour Apprenticeship Program requirements.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- Basic welding skills (MIG or stick) are a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is highly technical and fast-paced, with a team of over 40 maintenance technicians. The position requires flexibility in working shifts, with initial training on any shift before transitioning to a permanent 3rd shift. Shift timings are: 1st Shift (6:48 am-3 pm), 2nd Shift (2:48 pm-11 pm), and 3rd Shift (10:48 pm-7 am). Shift differentials and weekend bonuses apply.
