What You’ll Own
-
Leadership of a hands-on R&D / Engineering team
-
50/50 role: managing engineers and designing in SolidWorks
-
End-to-end ownership of production-ready mechanical designs
-
3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, revision control, and documentation
-
Design for manufacturability, reliability, and scale
-
Collaboration with Manufacturing on value engineering
-
Oversight of standards, tolerances (ISO/ANSI), and quality
-
FEA, DFMEA, and FMEA to ensure safety and reliability
-
Electrical integration: schematics, interconnects, wire harnesses
-
Project ownership from concept through release

Market and competitor research to guide future products
Requirements
-
10+ years in mechanical / electromechanical engineering
-
5+ years leading engineering teams
-
Expert-level SolidWorks user (this is non-negotiable)
-
Strong background in sheet metal, mechanisms, electronic packaging, automation
-
Comfortable owning designs that go to production

Experience working cross-functionally with Manufacturing

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar
-
Portfolio of past work strongly encouraged
