We’re hiring a crematory operator to join our compassionate and professional funeral care team. In this role, you’ll operate cremation equipment, ensure respectful handling of remains, and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate cremation equipment in accordance with state and local regulations
- Handle remains with care and ensure accurate identification throughout the process
- Maintain detailed records for each cremation
- Clean, inspect, and maintain crematory equipment
- Communicate professionally with funeral home staff and, when needed, with families
- Adhere to OSHA and environmental regulations
- Support other crematory operations when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Crematory Operator Certification (preferred)
- Prior experience in funeral services or crematory operations is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility
