We are known for handling complex environments where getting it wrong is not an option.
The Opportunity
This is not a helpdesk escalation role. We are looking for a senior IT consultant who can walk into a client environment, assess the situation, make sound recommendations, and own the outcome. You will be a trusted technical advisor to business owners and decision makers, not just a ticket closer. If you have genuine MSP depth, strong cloud skills, Fortinet experience, and the communication skills to hold a room with a non-technical executive, we want to talk.
Compensation: $100,000 to $120,000 annually based on experience.
What You'll Do
Own escalated and complex support issues across client environments spanning networking, security, cloud, and infrastructure
Serve as a primary technical consultant on client projects, including network redesigns, cloud migrations, and security implementations
Design and deploy solutions across Fortinet platforms, including FortiGate firewalls and FortiSwitch, as well as Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
Lead client-facing engagements and communicate findings, recommendations, and project status directly to business stakeholders
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers on the team
Document solutions, build repeatable processes, and contribute to the internal knowledge base
Participate in on-call rotation
Who You Are
Minimum 7 years of experience, 10 years preferred in an MSP or IT consulting environment at a senior level
Fortinet experience is required. You need to be hands-on with FortiGate at a minimum. NSE certification is a strong plus.
Deep working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Azure, including Intune and Entra ID. Microsoft certifications, such as MS-102 or AZ-104, are a strong plus.
Solid fundamentals across Windows Server, networking, VLANs, VPNs, and virtualization (VMware preferred, Hyper-V a plus)
Experienced with backup and disaster recovery platforms
You communicate as well as you troubleshoot. You can explain a technical recommendation to a business owner who doesn't care about the technical details without losing the room.
You work independently, you do not wait to be told what to do next, and you do not escalate problems you should be solving
Bonus Points For
Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations or SharePoint migrations
CJIS compliance experience or work with public safety or government clients
Barracuda, Veeam, Trend Micro, or KnowBe4 platform experience
