Job Summary
We are currently looking for a full-time Membership Sales Advisor who can introduce potential future members to the joys of maintaining a healthy lifestyle as well as helping to create a positive member experience for increased member retention. Successful candidates MUST have a proven sales track record and would be available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends. Must be passionate about health and fitness.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for answering phone inquiries and setting up Club tours for prospective members.
- Will be doing outreach outside of the club 25% of the time
- Expected to self-generate daily to ensure that they obtain monthly sales goal.
- Maintains records of all contacts, tours, and contracts as directed. Becomes familiar with and works with the Club’s computerized tracking and follow up system.
- Maintains contact with members after the sale to ensure a smooth orientation to the Club and to become aware of any problems that would affect member retention.
- Follows up with prospective members and member referrals.
- Attends special Club-wide events as directed and needed.
- Responds to member concerns in a timely manner and refers them to the proper department head or staff member when appropriate.
- Maintains familiarity with Club facilities, services, and policies to answer member and prospective member questions.
- Advises members on status and classification changes and processes paperwork when necessary.
- Adheres to all Oxford Athletic Club of Wexford personnel policies regarding hours, dress, etc.
- Performs other duties as reasonably assigned by supervisors, managers, senior staff, and the General Manager.
- Will attend weekly meetings with the membership accounts manager.
- Attend and contribute to recurring sales trainings.
- Plan and execute detailed monthly outreach tasks aimed at producing at least 20% of needed leads required to reach and surpass goals.
- Will support front desk for at least 2 hours per week during peak times to build relationships with members and ask for referrals.
- Expected to follow set cadences in CRM emailing, texting, and calling leads as well as completing follow-up referral calls following the sale.
- Required to complete, accurately, all front-facing and back-end work before end of day for each sale to guarantee commission is received.
Education & Training:
- Three or more years in a sales-oriented role required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Possess basic sales skills, with previous sales experience preferred.
- Displays an outgoing, service-oriented personality and professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player.
- Computer literate.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about the health and fitness industry.
- Dedicated to continuous improvement of self, his/her job skills, and Oxford Athletic Club.
Working Conditions
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
- Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 30lbs.)
