Position: Estate Planning, Probate & Elder Law Paralegal

Employer: Richard K. Abraham, Esquire

Location: Sparks-Glencoe Maryland

Primary Responsibilities: The Paralegal will support general office and client services by managing the firm calendar, maintaining organized client files, and serving as a primary contact for client intake, updates, and document needs. Responsibilities also include preparing engagement letters and follow-up communications.

You will assist with matters such as client management, estate planning, and general elder law support. Additional responsibilities include basic bookkeeping such as expense tracking and trust/estate account compliance and general office support using the following software: QuickBooks, CLIO, Word, and WordPerfect.

Required Qualifications: Candidates should have 1–5+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, or elder law, or an equivalent educational background. Strong drafting, proofreading, organizational, and time-management skills are required, along with excellent client-service skills and comfort discussing sensitive matters.

Preferred qualifications include: A paralegal degree or certificate, or the equivalent education and a notary public commission or willingness to obtain one. Experience with Maryland guardianship or probate procedures, a background in trust administration, guardianship, or estate tax forms is beneficial.

While experienced candidates are preferred, motivated paralegal students and recent graduates will be considered.
