Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
The Parts Associate supports both warehouse operations and parts counter sales, ensuring efficient inventory handling, accurate order processing, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to perform a wide variety of duties related to both warehouse logistics and parts sales.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–5 years of warehouse and/or parts counter experience preferred.
- Proficiency with company computer systems, data terminals, and/or PCs.
- Good communication, customer service, and math skills.
- Ability to move or lift 50–100 lbs.
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license; CDL preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Ability to wear required PPE (protective glasses, gloves, clothing, footwear).
RESPONSIBILITIESWarehouse Duties
- Pull, stage, and put away stock and customer orders, including credits and returns.
- Pick customer/shop orders accurately and in accordance with company standards.
- Complete delivery and branch transfer orders efficiently and correctly.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Follow all warehouse procedures in accordance with company policy.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle “Hot Tickets” and shop waiting orders promptly.
- Utilize DBS to determine parts availability and process transactions.
- Read and understand audit trails using DBS and I-Stowers where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and Bin counting.
- Build hoses to support parts counter and service sales.
Parts Counter Sales Duties
- Serve customers by identifying parts needs and processing orders accurately.
- Accurately “visualize” customer requests and apply correct tax, freight, and special instructions.
- Process back-orders and vendor orders, ensuring proper markup and freight charges.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vendor items and reference materials.
- Greet customers in person and by phone in a courteous, professional manner.
- Assist customers promptly or refer them to the appropriate department if needed.
- Support co-workers, promote teamwork, and maintain a respectful, professional environment.
Customer Satisfaction & Business Conduct
- Respond to customer requests professionally, courteously, and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times.
- Keep management informed of customer concerns or unresolved issues.

WORK CONDITIONS
- Ability to work a standard five-day schedule with overtime and occasional weekends.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team under varying levels of pressure.

- Meet eligibility requirements to drive company vehicles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Ability to lift 20–75 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods during the workday.
