Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including leases, purchase agreements, and closing documents.
- Conduct title, zoning, and survey reviews, as well as other due diligence processes pertaining to property acquisition or leasing.
- Prepare closing binders and ensure proper documentation for all completed transactions.
- Handle communication with clients, vendors, and external counsel regarding legal aspects of real estate matters.
- Research statutes, regulations, and case law as they pertain to commercial real estate issues.
- Manage filing deadlines, compliance requirements, and document tracking to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a paralegal specifically handling commercial real estate matters.
- Exceptional knowledge of legal terminology and processes related to real estate transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software systems.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with acute attention to detail.
- Candidates must be local to the DC Metro area to qualify for this hybrid role.
