Job Description
We have partnered with a market leading IPP on a search for an experienced attorney with energy trading/PPA/Offtake agreements. The prime focus of the individual will be to support the origination team in their formulation of offtake agreements, hedging documents and PPA's in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, draft and advise on commercial power contracts including complex offtake, power purchase agreements and hedging transactions
- Collaborate with the origination, trading, engineering and AM teams to understand the operation of renewable systems for advising on applicable agreements.
- Advise on trading activities and draft associated agreements.
- Manage outside counsel where relevant
Required Skills
- 5 years + attorney experience supporting a trading or origination function
- JD qualified
- Law firm experience preferred
- Desired - 2 year + experience with renewable projects
