Senior Corporate Accounting Manager
Miami, Florida (Onsite)
A leading, large-scale organization based in Miami is seeking a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager to play a critical leadership role within its finance organization. This is a high-impact position offering exceptional visibility to senior leadership, meaningful involvement in complex transactions, and the opportunity to help shape accounting policies and processes within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
This role is based on site in Miami and is not open to remote work. Relocation assistance is available to support a seamless move to South Florida.
Compensation includes a base salary of up to $165,000 plus a target bonus of 30%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This includes oversight of journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Serve as a technical accounting leader by reviewing, interpreting, and advising on complex and non-routine transactions, including franchise arrangements, joint ventures, supplier agreements, and other strategic initiatives.
- Partner closely with regional and operational finance teams to provide clear, actionable accounting guidance on business activities, ensuring alignment between accounting treatment and business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in close processes, internal controls, and financial reporting, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, FP&A, tax, and external auditors to support key initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Play a key role in maintaining and strengthening internal controls in a SOX-compliant environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Background with a national public accounting firm, with direct experience auditing publicly traded companies.
- Strong preference for candidates who have transitioned into corporate accounting within a large, complex organization.
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience applying technical accounting guidance to real-world business scenarios.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
