Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation (North Lauderdale, FL) is hiring a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer with 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

Meet with families and guide arrangement conferences

Coordinate funeral, memorial, and graveside services

Embalm, prepare, and dress decedents with precision

Complete all required documentation and vital records

Communicate with hospice, ME’s office, hospitals, clergy, and vendors

Maintain prep room cleanliness, safety standards, and inventory

Ensure compliance with Florida Statute 497 and proper chain-of-custody

Requirements

Current Florida Funeral Director & Embalmer License

2+ years of experience (required)

Strong embalming and restorative skills

Calm, professional communication

Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized

Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule

Compensation

Full-time role. Salary based on experience.
